Cherimoya has green skin and when ripe, gives slightly to pressure, similar to the avocado. Also known as custard apple, the cherimoya is fleshy and soft, sweet, white in color flesh, with a sherbet-like texture. Some say the flavor is a blend of banana, pineapple, papaya, peach, and strawberry. Others describe it as tasting like commercial bubblegum.
