Live in Wonder, Today!

Today, Saturday, February 25th from 1-4, Maui author, Eric Saperston is signing his book "Live in Wonder" at Mana Foods. Eric is a world-renowned speaker, author and film director. He lives on a Swiss-Family-Robinson-Style tree house on a 13 acre organic farm on Maui. Eric travels the globe inspiring the world to live in wonder.

After college, Eric Saperston bought a 1971 Volkswagen bus, took his golden retriever Jack and set out to follow the Grateful Dead and work a ski season in Aspen. While on the road he called up some of the most powerful people in the world and asked them out for a cup of coffee.

The reason: to find out the values they lived by, the struggles they endured and what advice and counsel they would give to others to better prepare themselves for the road ahead. The results: a development deal with Walt Disney Studios, an award-winning film The Journey, a speaking tour, an apparel line and this book you now have in your hands.

Live In Wonder: Quests, Quotes & Questions To Jumpstart Your Journey
invites you to ask yourself and others the questions, be inspired by the quotes, doodle, draw or write in it like a journal. Leave it on the coffee table, put it in the bathroom, gift it to a friend or take it on a road trip.

Wherever you go, may this book be your travel companion to anyplace worthwhile.

Book Signing today

Today, Thursday, February 16th from 11:30 - 1:30, Maui author, Andrew von Sonn is signing his books "If Not Now, When?" and "The Money Rebellion."

If Not Now, When? is filled w/cartoons and words about life, identity, perspective, and our current monetary system. Using gentle satire, Andrew Von Sonn holds a mirror to personal alienation, cookie-cutter lives, and the rat race mentality. He beckons us to explore our real lives by delving into a sense of absurdity. Using this absurdity, we can break down our self-limiting paradigm and embrace what is real and true.

The Money Rebellion is a satirical look at money and taxes. It's about an alternative computer banking system that challenges the status quo and the powers that be. Its purpose is to communicate a conceptual picture of "money" and "money systems," and offer some possible future alternatives. It's also filled with plenty of cartoons and laughs.

Andrew Von Sonn, Founder and Director of Mayflower Unlimited, is a lawyer, writer, cartoonist, and father based on the north shore of Maui in the Hawaiian Islands. He graduated UCLA School of Law in 1970 and is licensed to practice law in California and Hawaii. Earlier in his career, he was a starting linebacker in the National Football League.

How To Talk To Someone You Don't Want To - But Have To

Meet Maui author Wave Bannister, who will be signing his book "How To Talk To Someone You Don't Want To - But Have To." at Mana Foods, Saturday December 17th 10:30am - 1pm.

From Wave:
As a renaissance man who has had many careers and more than 40 jobs—from warehouse worker to office professional, fisherman to trucker, salesman to executive, and musician to therapist—I have discovered some fundamentals to solving confrontations among people from varied backgrounds.

Drawing on these fundamentals, I wrote this book for real people who have to deal with other real people on a day-to-day basis. It provides proven field skills for communication that can be used with a family member who’s upset, a frustrated employee you want something from, and anyone with whom you interact.
Just as computers regularly need to be cleaned of files that slow them down, people need to conduct periodic maintenance checks on themselves before they end up having to see a therapist for expensive repair.

Summer Safety

Being a child at home alone in the summer is a high-risk occupation. If you call your mother at work thirteen times an hour, she can hurt you. ~Erma Bombeck
